Graduated in Electrical Engineering from EFEI – Escola Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from FGV. He has over 30 years of experience in the electrical sector, focusing on areas such as energy efficiency and electrical energy generation, as well as investment, project development, and consulting services for companies. He has expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams, negotiating with stakeholders at various levels, and providing a strategic vision for stages of development, regulation, financial modeling, implementation, and management of electricity generation assets. He worked in private investment companies, on projects in the electrical sector, and at Aneel, a federal agency affiliated with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, which is responsible for regulating the electrical industry in Brazil. He was responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 300 hydroelectric generation studies and projects and leading a team of 15 analysts, external consultants, and companies contracted to approve hydroelectric inventory studies, basic design, and feasibility studies. He participated in the preparation of resolutions and normative instructions for regulating the generation of electrical energy in the country.
